About The Church
St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church of Chicago exists to encourage all people to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. Our history dates back to 1960, when a small group of people immigrated from Egypt and founded the church in Roselle, Illinois. We are an Orthodox Christian Church and our history and faith dates back to the time of the apostles when St. Mark the Evangelist came to Egypt and preached Christianity to all the land. Our faith and tradition has remained unchanged since St. Mark came and brought the Good News of Christ to the Egyptians.
